Ron Reel Ph.D., was born in the government camp John Steinbeck writes about in the 'Grapes of Wrath.' My parents were itinerant farm laborers traveling the crops throughout Central and Northern California. My father was Irish and my mother Cherokee Indian. I have 10 brothers and sisters. I was educated in the public schools of California until graduate school. I attended community college, and then transferred to California State University Fresno where I completed my BA and MA. I received my secondary teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University. My administrative credential is from Azusa Pacific University. I began my Ph.D. at the University of Southern California, but transferred to Valley Christian University where I majored in Religion. I am an ordained minister. I was the minister of music and principal of a private school in Los Angeles in 1985. I started teaching at Mt. San Antonio College full-time in 1988. I became interested in real estate in the early 1990's. I became a licensed real estate appraiser. In 1995 I became a licensed real estate salesperson. In 2000 I became a California Real Estate Broker and opened my own companies, Reel Properties, and Reel Mortgage. I currently am practicing real estate in Crescent City (Del Norte County) and Brookings (Curry County) Oregon. You can find me at Pacific Ocean Properties in Brookings Oregon. I lived on the oceanfront in Southern California for over 11 years and became an oceanfront specialist. I currently live in beautiful Brookings area.
